An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our Transport Projects & Programmes team at Leicestershire County Council, one of the best performing councils in the country. The successful applicant will also be expected to undertake site visits, when required.
About the Role
Your role will be to lead on the project management of Leicestershire County Council’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure projects and programmes, including project governance and reporting, financial monitoring, and risk management, to ensure that schemes are delivered on time, to quality and cost.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
- A degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent
- qualification (e.g. BTEC Higher in Civil Engineering) plus demonstrable experience. Or demonstrable experience commensurate with the role.
- Experience of working in a Highway engineering setting, in relation to design, management, maintenance or administrative processes.
- Experience of maintaining effective partnerships and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders which can include statutory, voluntary, private agencies and communities
- Experience of working to tight timescales to deliver projects and/or programmes on time, to quality and cost.
- A good understanding of the principles of Prince2 Project Management.
- Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
- A customer focused approach where the customer experience is central
