Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling components and products, ensuring quality standards are met. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. Prior experience in assembly or warehouse settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components accurately according to specifications and work instructions
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly processes
- Conduct quality checks on assembled items to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including the correct handling of tools and materials
- Assist with inventory management by organising parts and supplies within the warehouse
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a workshop or warehouse environment is advantageous
- Previous experience in assembly or warehouse roles is beneficial but not mandatory
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to undertake training to develop technical skills
