We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK MID WEEK AND WEEKENDS.
ROTA 30HRS PER WEEK. WED/FRI/ SAT/SUN
SPLIT SHIFT - 10AM TO 3PM / 5PM TO 9.30PM
Call the PUB for an immediate trial shift.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment promptly to ensure a steady workflow.
- Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies and ingredients.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks as required.
Skills
- Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
- A willingness to learn and develop skills within the hospitality sector.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards is beneficial.
- A proactive attitude towards assisting cooks and chefs in their duties.
