Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Glazier/Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and glazing systems on various building projects while also safely operating company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and personnel to job sites. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship combined with reliable transportation, supporting our commitment to timely project completion and exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple trades within a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, install, and repair glass panels, windows, shopfronts, and other glazing components with precision and attention to detail
- Safely operate company vans to deliver materials and equipment to multiple job sites
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying protective coatings as needed for glazing projects
- Assist with related construction tasks such as roofing, plastering, mason
- Read schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of glazing systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on-site and in the vehicle for safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate hand tools and power tools during installation and transportation tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in glazing installation or repair within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of commercial glazing is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings for precise project execution
- Experience with fabrication techniques relevant to glass or metal components
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial vehicles preferred
