Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to have a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction. ***Please note due to restrictions in our insurance cover we cannot insure anyone under the age of 25***
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
- follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with transport office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Role of installing/building customer products on-site.
- London driving.
- May be required to help with house/furniture removals.
- May be required to help with the delivery of glass panels, correct equipment will be provided.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous (If successful for an interview please bring your valid driving licence and NI with you).
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
