To support the department’s Sonographers in the provision of a professional extended 7 day ultrasound service.
An opportunity to work within a friendly and dynamic department using modern and new equipment.
A wide range of examinations undertaken with the opportunity to further progress your career to Advanced Practitioner Sonographer.
A HCPC registered Sonographer able to undertake a mixture of examinations including but not exhaustive of abdominal, gynaecological and vascular examinations.

Perform Ultrasound Examinations - Conduct a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations adapting techniques to patient condition.
Image analysis and reporting - Interpret ultrasound images to identify abnormalities and provide a comprehensive report.
Patient care and Interactions - To explain the process ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Equipment and Management - Operate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment reporting any faults.
Documentation and administration - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using hospital information systems.
Collaboration and Communication - Work effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team.
Quality assurance and Professional Development - Participate in quality assurance programmed , clinical audits and CPD.
Adherence to Protocols - Ensure all work is carried out according to department guidelines and policies and statutory regulations.
