Job Summary
The Lead Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project specifications and drawings, collaborating with suppliers and internal departments, and preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations. This role plays a crucial part in securing new business and supporting the commercial growth of Metcraft Group Ltd.
Duties
- Lead Our Expanding Estimating Team with future growth in mind for the future
- Interpret specification, drawings and schematics to understand customer requirements
- Prepare and submit timely, competitive and accurate quotations
- Follow up on issued quotations for feedback and explore opportunities for additional works
- Work closely with our site installation sales team to ensure all aspects of projects are accounted for within quotations.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Skills
- Proven experience in estimating within the M&E Sector
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Use of 3D model viewing software desirable, not essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail for accurate cost evaluation.
- Proficiency in estimating software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate estimates and negotiate effectively.
- Expertise in cost control practices to monitor budgets and prevent overruns.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
