Cover School Cleaning Operative – Sidcup & Hextable (Cover Only)

Are you looking for a flexible, part-time role where you can make a real difference in a school environment? We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cover School Cleaning Operative to provide sickness and holiday cover across a school site in Hextable.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across school facilities, helping to create a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.
Key duties include:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces
- Cleaning and restocking toilets and washrooms
- Following site-specific cleaning schedules and procedures
Hours
This is a cover-only role, with shifts allocated to cover sickness and holidays. Hours may include:
- Monday to Friday: 3:15pm – 5:45pm
- Term time only
Flexibility is essential, as hours will vary depending on cover requirements.

What We’re Looking For
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Flexible and available to cover shifts at short notice
- Ideally a driver, or someone living within easy commuting distance to both Sidcup and Hextable
Requirements
- This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
- Applicants must be able to provide the required documentation to obtain a DBS
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred
