About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs by ensuring the kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic. Your contribution will help our kitchen operate smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout all kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation when required.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures.
- Receive and store deliveries safely and correctly.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and chemicals are used and stored in line with COSHH regulations.
- Support the kitchen team with general duties to ensure efficient service.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
