About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join a small, consistent team supporting an autistic individual who is non-verbal and will soon be moving into their own home.
The support package will provide 24-hour care, with 2:1 support where required. We are looking to recruit approximately 6–8 Support Workers to create a consistent team around the individual and provide continuity of care.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, calm and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support. You will play an important role in supporting the individual to live as independently as possible, access their local community and enjoy meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to the individual's needs, preferences and communication style.
- Support an individual with autism who is non-verbal.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity and quality of life.
- Provide reassurance and emotional support, particularly during periods of anxiety, distress or agitation.
- Maintain a calm, safe and supportive environment.
- Support with daily living tasks and household routines.
- Support social activities, hobbies and community participation.
- Provide personal care and continence support when required.
- Work as part of a consistent team to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
- Provide 2:1 support where required.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals involved in the individual's support.
- Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and agreed ways of working.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records of support provided.
About You

Previous experience working with autistic individuals, non-verbal individuals or people with complex support needs is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training and support will be provided.
