Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool users. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a secure environment, providing excellent customer service, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Duties
- Monitor pool areas continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviour
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of poolside facilities, including safety equipment checks and reporting any damages or issues
- Provide friendly assistance and information to pool visitors regarding pool rules and facilities
- Keep accurate records of incidents, rescues, and safety inspections as required
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the swimming pool area
Skills
- Valid Lifeguard certification (including CPR and First Aid) recognised by relevant authorities
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues efficiently under pressure
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in emergency situations
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with visitors and team members
- Physically fit with the stamina to stand for extended periods and perform water rescues if necessary
- Prior experience as a Lifeguard is desirable but not essential.
