Candidates MUST have a driving license and confident driving vans.
Candidates MUST live within 30 minutes of South Wimbledon.
Candidates MUST have grounds maintenance experience.
At Countrywide Grounds Maintenance we provide a wide range of grounds care and maintenance services. We work in both public and private sectors and pride ourselves in our quality service.
You will report to the Regional Manager and are responsible for working within the team to complete Grounds Maintenance works in accordance with contract specifications, customer requirements and our own Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental procedures, statutory requirements and industry best practice.
The post is based at our South Wimbledon depot which you will report to each morning at 06:30am but you will be required to travel to carry out your day to day duties. You will have access to a company van and all equipment required to carry out all tasks. Any additional training required to enable this role to be performed will be provided at the company’s expense. You must be within a reasonable commutable distance from South Wimbledon.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Operate power tools and equipment for landscape maintenance
- Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration
- Use hand tools to perform various tasks such as pruning and trimming
- Build and maintain fences, pathways, and other outdoor structures
Skills:
- Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping essential
- Knowledge of mechanical operations for maintaining equipment
- Proficiency in using power tools for various landscaping tasks
- Ability to dig, plant, and maintain gardens and landscapes
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance
- Competence in using hand tools for pruning, trimming, and other manual tasks
- Basic carpentry skills for building and repairing outdoor structures
