Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Working Supervisor Carpenter specialising in fit-out and refurbishment works to join our growing team. This role involves overseeing fit-out and carpentry works on a variety of projects throughout South Wales, ensuring high-quality delivery while remaining hands-on on site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate on-site fit-out works from start to finish
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient delivery
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity always
- Carry out all aspects of carpentry and joinery works, assisting other trades when required
- Conduct site inspections and support with workforce management
- Oversee materials, labour, and day-to-day site operations
- Take a hands-on approach and lead by example on site
- Oversee and enforce daily site health and safety compliance
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure all staff adhere to company health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- Maintain records relating to inspections, incidents, and compliance requirements
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety
Requirements
- Proven experience in project and fit-out supervision
- Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings and health & safety compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Based in Cardiff, Newport and South Wales
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Able to carry out enhanced DBS
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery is essential
- SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and 3-Day First Aid , asbestos awareness certifications, PASMA are desired
- Experience in fire protection works is desired
