Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Bakewell, Peak District
Location: Little Puddings Nursery, S. Anselm’s, Bakewell
Contract: Permanent, All-Year-Round
Hours: Full-time shift pattern between 7:30am – 6:30pm
Salary: £27,540.00-£31,620.00 per annum (depending on experience and qualification)
About the Role
Little Puddings Nursery is delighted to be opening our brand-new setting in Bakewell, within the beautiful Peak District, and we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join our team from the very beginning.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nurturing, high-quality early years environment where you can make a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months and above, supporting their individual needs and helping them thrive through play, exploration and meaningful experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, safe and welcoming environment where children feel valued and supported
- Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Carry out observations, assessments and records to support each child’s learning journey
- Support children’s personal care routines, including mealtimes, sleep routines, nappy changing and outdoor play
- Promote children’s emotional, social and physical development through responsive care
- Maintain excellent safeguarding and child protection standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create a positive and inclusive environment
- Contribute ideas and share best practice to support continuous improvement
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years education and committed to providing outstanding care for young children.
Essential:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Good understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
- Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, positive and professional approach
Desirable:
- Experience working with children aged 3 months and above
- Experience supporting colleagues or taking responsibility within a room
- A willingness to continue professional development
