Overview
We are seeking a self-employed SIA Security professional to provide vigilant security services across various sites and Door Supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety, monitoring premises, and deterring unauthorised access, and searching. This role offers flexibility for self-employed individuals with relevant security qualifications and experience. The position requires a proactive approach to safeguarding property and personnel, ensuring a secure environment at all times.
Duties
- Conduct regular surveillance of designated areas and physical patrols
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts
- Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Liaise with clients and emergency services when required to coordinate security measures
- Utilise loss prevention techniques to minimise theft or damage within the premises
Requirements
- Valid SIA licence is essential for employment in this role
- Proven experience in security operations, including surveillance and loss prevention
- First aid certification
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats or hazards swiftly
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Reliable transport or means of access to various locations as required
