At Willow Tree Day Nursery we are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, passionate apprentice to join our nursery family. This nursery is a warm and inviting homely setting with a fantastic outdoor environment. We are looking for an individual to provide a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for children. Working with children provides constant challenges, personally and professionally. You could be planning creative learning opportunities, an exciting day trip or working with parents – the job will vary from day to day.
This exciting opportunity to join our team is for an unqualified practitioner who would like to work towards their level 2 or level 3, 40 hours a week to start as soon as we have received 2 suitable references and a cleared DBS.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role will include:
- Undertaking training to obtain recognised qualifications, including completing assignments on time
- To attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas
- Under supervision to provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
- To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of children
- To provide adult interaction with children in the setting
- To be aware of the all of the settings policies
Qualifications and Skills
To qualify for this apprentice role you need to be over 16 years old.
Qualifications Required:
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths & English or Functional Skills level 2
- Some experience working with children would be ideal
- A positive approach to completing relevant short courses and qualifications
- Some understanding of the importance of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace
