About the Role
Due to increased workload we are looking to recruit an experienced HGV Tipper Driver to support operations at Castle an Dinas Quarry, near Penzance.
This is a relief/casual position, meaning work will be offered as and when required. You may be called upon at short notice to cover short or long periods of work, including holidays, sickness absence, and busy operational periods. There are no guaranteed hours, so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a tipper vehicle to deliver aggregates and tarmac
- Working from quarry and site locations across Cornwall
- Adhering to site safety rules and transport regulations
- Supporting quarry operations at Ludgvan when required
Essential Requirements
- Proven previous experience as an HGV tipper driver (essential)
- Experience delivering aggregates and tarmac
- Full valid HGV licence (Class 1 or Class 2)
- Driver CPC
- Tachograph knowledge
- Previous experience working in a construction or quarry environment
Desirable
- MPQC certification (not essential, but advantageous)
Important
This role is strictly a relief driver position. Applicants must be comfortable with short-notice call-outs and understand that work may be intermittent, depending on operational needs.
