Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, safety standards, and team management. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities to ensure smooth operation and high standards of service
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team performance to foster a motivated and efficient workforce
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste and optimise resources
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety protocols and hygiene practices
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain excellent guest relations
- Organise training programmes for staff on service standards, food safety, and culinary techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes that meet quality expectations
- Maintain cleanliness of the premises and ensure all areas are compliant with health regulations
- Assist in marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant’s offerings and attract new clientele
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working atmosphere
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
- Experience in food safety management and adherence to hygiene standards
- Familiarity with food production processes in both kitchen and bar settings (including barista experience) is advantageous
- Previous roles in hospitality or hotel management are desirable but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills combined with leadership qualities to oversee daily operations effectively
