WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Managing a team of 4 direct reports and working closely with the General Manager, other department leads and Head Chef
- Mentoring of supervisor & staff training
- Responsible for due diligence and enforcement of food safety and health and safety policies and procedures
- Daily administration including forecasting, ordering, menu management, stock control and daily work books
- Working with the Chefs to ensure that all menus are correct including up to date allergen information
- Running the pass and ensuring that all food orders are as per menu, delivered on time and beautifully presented
- Ensuring that the highest standards and KPI's are met and that the hospitality department continues to develop and evolve through new ways of working and innovation
- Responding appropriately to incoming enquiries in person and via email and chasing to a conclusion
- Liaise with external suppliers, prepare quotes and event proposals for events of all types, including internal and external
- Develop events from proposal right up to delivery, including set up, communication with key stakeholders and catering team members whilst maintaining project timelines and priorities.
- Produce event planning documents, including catering, cost, itinerary, room set up
- Actively identify new products, marketing and promotion opportunities
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday
There will be overtime for events therefore the Hospitality Manager must be flexible and able to work evenings as required by the business. Overtime is paid at time and a half if working in excess of 40 hours per week.
What can you bring:
At least 2 years of experience in a corporate hospitality setting.
