General Garden Centre Assistant for a family owned, independent Garden Centre just outside of Durham City, in Shincliffe Village.
Poplar Tree Garden Centre is currently seeking a Garden Centre Assistant, working 5 days a week.
Working in all areas of the garden centre, but mainly the inside shop area.
Tasks will involves:
* unloading deliveries
* checking off deliveries
* pricing stock and maintaining a tidy retails area.
Shop - main duties are:
* Serving on the till
* Pricing and merchandising stock
* Communicating with customers and offering outstanding customer service.
* Unloading containers of furniture by hand
* Locating and loading furniture and water features for customers
* Building display sets of furniture and shop stands
* General improvements in the garden centre to help grow the business over the years to come.
Must be hard working and capable of working at a fast pace.
No experience necessary but applicants must have a strong willingness to learn.
Customer service however is essential.
We have a great team of outstanding staff in our Centre.
