We are seeking a dynamic Compliance Officer to join our team and drive our compliance framework to new heights.
Job Purpose:
You will own and enhance our company’s compliance framework. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our policies and procedures support continuous improvement, achieve industry accreditations, and align with regulatory and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Certification Management:Collaborate with Directors and Senior Management to achieve and maintain certifications, including ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Internal Audits:Periodically conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure the effective maintenance and execution of compliance standards.
- Business Integration:Embed compliance across the business through interviews, process scrutiny, and guidance.
- Issue Investigation:Conduct investigations to identify, report, and resolve compliance issues.
- Health and Safety Compliance:Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Environmental Standards:Stay informed about and ensure adherence to environmental standards. Implement strategies for sustainable development, including pollution control, waste management, recycling, and renewable energy.
- Environmental Performance Reporting:Audit, analyze, and report environmental performance to internal and external regulatory bodies.
- Program Development:Design and develop programs to ensure ongoing compliance as standards or business requirements evolve.
- Data Privacy:Implement measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with GDPR. Develop templates for data collection, assist with data mapping, and conduct vendor management reviews.
- Data Privacy Audits:Conduct and coordinate data privacy audits.
- Incident Management:Collaborate with Information Security functions to maintain records of data assets and exports. Maintain a data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents, including impact assessments, security breach responses, complaints, claims, notifications, and responding to subject access requests (SARs).
- QMS Management:Manage the internal Quality Management System (Mango).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a compliance management role, ideally within a high-growth SaaS or tech environment.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and data privacy regulations.
- Experience conducting internal audits and reviews.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively embed compliance practices across the business.
