Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial and organisational environments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a hygienic and welcoming space for clients and staff alike. Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll as needed
- Ensure all cleaning activities are completed within scheduled timeframes while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning to the supervisor promptly
- Follow company policies on the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure safety for all staff and visitors
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to cleaning activities
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting light loads
