Job Summary
Moonraker is one of the UK's leading amateur radio and communications equipment retailers, supplying customers throughout the UK and across the world. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales & Customer Service Advisor to join our team at our Woburn Sands HQ.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be helping customers in our retail showroom, answering telephone and email enquiries, processing orders, providing product advice and assisting customers with after-sales support.
Whether a customer needs help choosing the right product, tracking a parcel, arranging a return or placing an order, you'll be there to provide outstanding service from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers visiting our retail showroom.
- Answer telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Help customers choose the right products based on their individual requirements.
- Process customer orders accurately using our sales systems.
- Provide after-sales support including delivery enquiries, lost parcels, returns, exchanges and warranty issues.
- Liaise with couriers and suppliers to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with both retail and trade customers through excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
- Work closely with colleagues across sales, warehouse and customer service to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Assist with merchandising, stock presentation and maintaining a welcoming showroom environment.
- Keep up to date with new products and industry developments to provide informed advice.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service or telephone sales.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A confident and friendly telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using sales or CRM systems.
- The ability to remain calm and professional when resolving customer issues.
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Desirable (but not essential)
- An interest in amateur radio, CB radio, scanning, electronics or communications equipment.
- Experience working within an e-commerce or mail order environment.
- Knowledge of shipping, courier services or order fulfilment.
