Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a lively and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages accurately and efficiently to customers
- Take orders and provide recommendations on drinks menu items
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
- Manage cash register operations and handle payments accurately using basic maths skills
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including responsible alcohol service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Proven ability to serve customers efficiently with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Basic maths competency for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience working in a restaurant or bar setting will be considered an asset
