Role Summary
Tracy Lewis Childcare (TLC) is seeking an experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our Pre-School room of 22 children, working as part of a team of four practitioners in a warm, supportive nursery environment.
The role focuses primarily on caring for the children and being part of the team within the room, ensuring a positive, engaging and nurturing environment where children can learn and develop.
Candidates do not need to have any Early Years Qualification but must have at least 6 months of recent full time work in a UK nursery and be familiar with all aspects of the EYFS and good practice with a nursery setting
As part of the job, for an Unqualified, we will oversee and arrange a Level 2 or 3 qualification course with our one to one tutor
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience and qualifications

TLC aims to provide a stable, supportive workplace where staff feel valued and can develop long-term within the nursery.
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week (including breaks)
- Shifts scheduled between 08:00 and 18:00
- Nursery open Monday to Friday, 48 weeks per year
The nursery is usually closed for:
- Two weeks in March or April
- Two weeks at Christmas
- Bank holidays and some festival days
Children attend between 08:15 and 18:00.

The Role – Nursery Practitioner
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day care, learning and development of young children within the room. Working as part of the team, the Nursery Practitioner must helps create a warm, organised and engaging environment where children feel secure, settled and encouraged to learn through play, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- At least 6 month's experience in a UK nursery.
- Good understanding of the EYFS.
- Warm, caring and enthusiastic.
- Reliable and organised.
- Passionate about helping young children learn and develop.
