Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport access platforms to and from various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and secure access platforms onto the vehicle properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and customers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving large goods vehicles, preferably in the access platforms or equipment hire sector.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance tasks.
- Good physical fitness for loading/unloading equipment when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
