About the Role
Future Pro Academy is a growing football and education academy providing full-time football, education and international programmes for student-athletes aged 16–23.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day to day operational running of the academy.
This is a non coaching role. You will be responsible for ensuring our football, education, international, residential and player operations run efficiently and professionally.
You will work closely with senior management, coaches, education partners, welfare staff, residential staff and our international recruitment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the academy.
- Coordinate player registrations, documentation and operational records.
- Work closely with coaches to ensure programmes are organised and resourced.
- Coordinate football and education timetables with education partners.
- Monitor player attendance and engagement across football and education.
- Coordinate international player arrivals, airport collections, accommodation and onboarding.
- Support the operational delivery of international programmes and maintain communication with players, parents and partners.
- Work closely with residential and welfare staff to ensure players receive a safe and professional experience.
- Coordinate academy staff schedules and operational responsibilities.
- Manage facilities, equipment, transport and day to day logistics.
- Support the planning and delivery of tours, tournaments and academy events.
- Develop and improve academy systems, processes and operational procedures.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and provide reports to senior management.
- Act as a key operational contact for players, parents and staff.
- Identify problems early and take ownership of resolving them.
About You
We are looking for someone who is an operator first and enjoys making things happen.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in football, sports, education, leisure or a similar operational environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience coordinating people, schedules and multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Confidence working with players, parents, staff and external partners.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience working within a football academy or football club.
- Experience working within education.
- Experience with international players or students.
- Experience with residential programmes.
- Experience organising fixtures, tours or sporting events.
- Knowledge of football administration and competition requirements.
FA/UEFA coaching qualifications are not required. This is an operational position, not a coaching role.
Working Pattern
Full-time position. Flexibility will be required around matchdays, evening activities, player arrivals, tournaments, tours and occasional weekends.
Salary
£30,000–£35,000 per year + performance bonus, depending on experience.
