We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work at our busy Kingstown site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, award-winning family-run business.The job will require you to work as part of our experienced team in processing wild game birds. This will include plucking using our specialist machines, cutting and deboning birds (mainly pheasants and partridges), and maintaining high standards of cleanliness on the floor. No previous experience is required as full training is provided, but a great work ethic and reliable attendance are essential.
Hours & Schedule:
- Expected Weekly Hours: Approximately 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Working Hours: Monday 05:00–12:00, Tuesday to Friday 05:00–15:00. No weekend work required.
- Festive Closures: We completely close operations for 3 days over Christmas and 3 days over New Year, ensuring you get well-deserved time off with family during the holidays.

While this is a temporary role until the end of the shooting season in mid-February, it could potentially lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled food environment.
- High attention to detail regarding food safety and meat quality.
- Comfortable handling raw, wild game (feathers, blood, etc.).
- Reliable, independent transport to ensure you can safely reach our Kingstown site for the early 05:00 AM start times.
Contract Length & Start Dates:
- This is a temporary, seasonal contract running through to mid-February 2027.
- Our first team members will start on Monday 17 August 2026 for the first grouse coming in.
- Partridge season begins on 1 September, followed by the Pheasant season in October. Further positions will become available as the bird volume peaks in mid October.
