We are recruiting for a language tutor to take part in our community learning and night school provision.
Come and join our team of language tutors. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals that can deliver fun, engaging lessons.
Our current French classes will run Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings , and there will be some opportunities for you to carry out Saturday morning workshops. There may also be some opportunities to teach daytime classes.
If you don’t have a teaching qualification yet but you are eager to start a teaching career path, we can also provide the Level 3 teaching qualification while you teach.
You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and ideally have experience of teaching adults (although this is not essential). You will need to have good subject knowledge and be qualified within the area you wish to teach. The courses will have learners of mixed abilities and cover a range of topics.
Our language classes allow for progression through a modular route.
You would be responsible for planning your lessons and you will need to hold or be willing to obtain a teaching qualification at Level 3 as a minimum (we will also provide and pay for the Level 3 qualification where this required).
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with learners aged 16+, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and instructions.
- Ability to educate and inspire, fostering a love for learning.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping learners succeed academically.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.

Pay: £24.85-£28.41 per hour
