We at Walker Slater are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised retail assistant join the team in our Flagship Ladieswear Store on Victoria Street, Edinburgh. We are looking for an experienced sales person for a full-time role of 40 hours per week, weekend availability is essential. A background in luxury retail or tailoring would be beneficial, but not required as full training on Walker Slater product and process will be given. We are hoping to find someone who is focused on development with an eye for detail and a great drive to delivering flawless customer service. Job Description
Title: Full Time Sales
Reports To: Store Manager
Job Purpose:
To assist customers to purchase from start to finish in their Walker Slater journey. A Walker Slater team member should always handle enquiries with a high level of politeness and professionalism. The sales team should recognise high standards in themselves and the environment they are in. Consistent replenishment and maintenance of the shops visual merchandising and standards are an essential part of the role.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Impeccable customer service
- Security awareness, self awareness on the sales floor
- Housekeeping duties
- Replenishment of stock levels
- Customer request through warehouse and stores
- Recovery of visual merchandising standards
- Stockroom duties
- Stocktaking on individual lines (slash lists)
- Communication with team, managers and all other departments
- Organised, tidy working habits
- Attention to detail
- Alteration accuracy, following strict procedures
- Product knowledge, style and fit, features
- Add on selling skills
- Health and Safety aware in all aspects of the day to day tasking
- Excellent personal time management
