About the Role:
As Maintenance Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for growing Primech's Maintenance Division by securing new maintenance and compliance contracts across both public and private sectors.
This is a proactive business development role focused on building long-term client relationships and generating recurring revenue through planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance services and reactive maintenance agreements. You'll work closely with facilities managers, property managers, building owners and end users to understand their needs and develop suitable maintenance solutions.
Working alongside our Operations, Estimating and Senior Leadership Teams, you'll manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award and mobilisation, helping drive the continued growth of Primech's maintenance portfolio.
Business Development

Identify and pursue new maintenance and compliance opportunities across healthcare, education, commercial, blue-light, local authority and industrial sectors.

Build relationships with facilities managers, property managers, building owners, trusts and other key decision-makers.

Monitor contract renewals, retenders, frameworks and market activity to maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Secure opportunities through approved contractor lists, framework agreements and long-term service partnerships.

Share market intelligence, sector trends and competitor activity with the Senior Leadership Team.
Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as the main commercial point of contact throughout the sales process.

Develop existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for contract growth, retention and referrals.

Represent Primech at networking events, industry forums and client meetings to promote our services and generate new opportunities.

Maintain accurate CRM records, including opportunities, contract renewals, activity and revenue forecasts.

Work closely with Operations and Contracts Teams to ensure a smooth transition from contract award to mobilisation.
Proposals & Pricing

Meet with prospective clients to understand maintenance requirements, compliance obligations, service expectations and budgets.

Assess opportunities and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions alongside Operations and the Senior Leadership Team.

Coordinate proposals, pricing and service solutions to ensure they are competitive, compliant and operationally deliverable.

Attend site surveys and asset inspections to support accurate scoping and proposal development.

Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contract terms and secure profitable maintenance agreements.

Review unsuccessful bids and identify opportunities to improve future submissions.
Contract Award & Mobilisation

Lead handovers to Operations and Contracts Teams, ensuring all client, commercial and service information is transferred effectively.

Support mobilisation activities and remain involved during the early stages of delivery to ensure a smooth transition.

Participate in client review meetings, gather feedback and identify opportunities for contract growth, additional services and renewals.

Obtain testimonials, referrals and case study opportunities to support future business development activity.
Reporting & General Responsibilities

Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, contract renewals, sales performance and recurring revenue forecasts.

Support the development of marketing materials, service collateral and business development initiatives.

Maintain a strong understanding of Primech's maintenance services, compliance capabilities and contract portfolio.

Follow company policies and procedures while working collaboratively with colleagues to support business growth and service delivery.
Requirements

Strong understanding of the M&E maintenance, hard FM and building services sectors.

Proven ability to identify, develop and win maintenance, compliance and service contract opportunities.

Experience reviewing maintenance specifications, asset registers, compliance schedules and client requirements.

Excellent relationship-building, account management and networking skills.
-
Strong communication, presentation and proposal-writing abilities.

Commercial awareness with an understanding of service contracts, SLAs, compliance requirements and pricing structures.

Confident negotiation skills with the ability to build trust while protecting commercial interests.

Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities and contract renewal cycles.

Competent user of CRM systems, Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Essential

Full UK driving licence.

Valid CSCS Card or willingness to obtain one.

Evidence of ongoing professional development in sales, account management, facilities management or a related discipline.

Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.

BPSS clearance or willingness to obtain.

Experience within M&E maintenance, hard FM, building services or a related industry.

Proven success in securing maintenance or service contracts and growing recurring revenue.

Confident discussing pricing, service levels, compliance requirements and contract terms with clients.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Professional, approachable and credible when representing Primech.

A proactive, self-motivated individual who enjoys building long-term client relationships and generating new business.
Desirable
-
Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Sales, Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering or a related field.

Formal sales or account management training.

Security Clearance (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) for public sector or government-related contracts.

Experience selling M&E maintenance services within healthcare, education, local authority, blue-light or commercial sectors.

An established network of facilities managers, property managers, building owners or public sector contacts within the South East.
