Advanced Social Worker – Localities Team
Location: South Gloucestershire (Kingswood base)
Rate: £41 per hour (Ltd / Umbrella)

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join a well-established Localities Team within a high-performing children’s services environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to a service that is committed to delivering strong, child-centred practice and continuous improvement, supporting positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
About the Role
You will be part of a supportive and experienced team delivering statutory social work across Child Protection, Children in Need, early stages of Looked After Children, and proceedings under the Public Law Outline and Care Proceedings framework.
The team promotes a reflective and innovative working culture, giving practitioners the space and support to develop creative, strengths-based approaches that improve outcomes for families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a complex caseload within statutory children’s social care
- Undertaking assessments, planning, and interventions to safeguard children
- Working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to deliver coordinated support
- Contributing to care planning and court proceedings where required
- Promoting strengths-based and solution-focused practice approaches
- Ensuring children and young people are protected and supported to achieve stability and wellbeing
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with a strong understanding of statutory children’s social care practice. Newly qualified Social Workers approaching qualification (ASYE pending) may also be considered.

Requirements
- Social Work England registration (or eligibility pending qualification)
- Enhanced DBS check (required for this role)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel across the local authority area is required
