Plant Fitter
Hours: Full Time

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated fitter to cover night shifts 2000-0600 Monday to Friday. You will be working alongside our night time HGV mechanic and contractors, maintaining our static processing plant to ensure maximised uptime during the processing day.
As part of a select out of hours team, we expect you to be self-motivated, diligent and effective at managing your own time.
Your core duty will be maintaining our static processing plants. Solid experience with vibrating screens, air separators, magnets and conveyor systems, safe guarding and knowledge of safe working procedures is essential. Again we are busy company that is always growing, so uptime must be maintained. Losses of items such as bearings and belts due to poor maintenance will not be tolerated, and you will direct the labour team in basic housekeeping tasks.
Experience with mobile plant is also required, as you will from time to time be needed to assist with repairs to loading shovels and waste handlers.
Welding, and particularly hard-facing, experience is also highly desired.
You will be required to be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting in an active environment.
All maintenance paperwork, which we expect to be kept accurate and up to date, is completed via tablet or telephone app, so some IT knowledge is required.
We operate to strict health and safety procedures, and as a senior member of the team you will be expected to be a role model and assist with the enforcement of safe working practices, proper use and care of plant and machinery, and wearing of correct PPE, especially as operating out of usual operating hours.
