We cut, turn (CNC Lathe), and heat treat bars / pins for various OEM applications (original equipment manufacturers). We are looking for someone to join the day shift team.
The role would be predominantly operating (and setting) CNC Lathe machining centres and would also include:
· Performing daily / weekly basic maintenance tasks
· Problem solving your own and supporting other team members when issues arise.
· Checking your own work with use of Micrometers, Vernier's, hard gauges and adjusting offsets as required.
· Experience of operating with Fanuc controls is ideally required for this role.
Ideally the successful candidate will have some experience of setting Fanuc controlled machines, but consideration will also be given to those who would like to learn / be trained in setting / set ups.
Components can weigh between 50g and 500kg; crane training will be provided (ideally applicants should have some previous experience of overhead or Jib crane usage) however this will likely be a physically demanding role depending on customer requirements.
This is a permanent day shift position. Hours of work are:
Day Shift: 06:00 am to 16:30 pm Monday to Thursday
- 15 min break (paid)
- Lunch break – 30 mins – unpaid
- Free tea & coffee.
