About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and highly organised Housekeeper / Household Assistant to support a busy professional household based in Pittville, Cheltenham.
This is a long-term position where you will become an important part of the smooth running of our home. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating an organised, clean and welcoming environment, takes pride in their work and can work independently with minimal supervision.
In addition to looking after our family home, you will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining a small office located approximately 10 minutes drive from the property.

Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Daily and weekly cleaning of the property
- Hoovering, mopping, dusting and polishing
- Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
- Deep cleaning on a scheduled basis
- Laundry, washing, drying and folding
- Ironing and garment care
- Changing bed linen
- Organising wardrobes and cupboards
- Maintaining high standards throughout the home
Household Assistance
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Receiving deliveries
- Returning parcels
- Keeping household supplies fully stocked
- Liaising with tradespeople when required
- Preparing guest rooms
- Watering indoor plants
- Reporting any maintenance issues
- Helping keep the household organised and running efficiently
- some light gardening is also desirable
Office Duties
Approximately one or two visits per week to our nearby office to:
- Clean offices and meeting rooms
- Hoover and mop floors
- Clean kitchen facilities
- Clean washrooms
- Empty bins
- Restock refreshments and consumables
- Ensure the office is presented to a high standard
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous housekeeping or domestic cleaning experience
- Have excellent ironing and laundry skills
- Be trustworthy, discreet and dependable
- Be proactive and able to work without supervision
- Have exceptional attention to detail
- Be physically fit and happy undertaking cleaning duties
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
