We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will have proven experience working with adults who have learning disabilities and mental health needs. This role requires a compassionate, reliable, and professional individual who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and mental health conditions
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care
- Support service users with daily living activities, including personal care where required
- Assist with medication administration in line with company policy and training
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and care documentation
- Support individuals in accessing the community and participating in meaningful activities
- Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external healthcare professionals
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and health and safety regulations are followed at all times
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (if required)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
