Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Head Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, cleaning, and basic food handling tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Report to head chef and sous chef & manage the other Kitchen Porters from making sure their tasks are complete, training and to support with rotas and availability
- Wash, scrub, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas throughout shifts.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed in accordance with safety regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management of supplies and ingredients.
- Support the culinary team with basic cooking tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Experience with food preparation, bussing, or banquet service is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality service.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required. This position provides valuable exposure to the hospitality industry while supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional guest experiences through cleanliness and efficient kitchen operations.

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
