Legacie Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background within Hi rise residential new build.

The High-Rise New Build Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, and delivery of all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves managing subcontractors, supervising site teams, maintaining programme targets, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities Site Management
- Manage the daily operations of a high-rise construction site from groundworks through to completion and handover.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Plan and coordinate site logistics, material deliveries, and plant utilisation.
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Lead by example in promoting a positive health and safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with all current health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Ensure all risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), permits, and safe systems of work are implemented and monitored.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions where required.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop site teams.
- Conduct daily briefings and coordination meetings.
- Promote effective communication across all project stakeholders.
- Mentor assistant site managers and site supervisors where applicable.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities, and residents where applicable.
- Attend progress meetings and provide accurate project updates.
- Ensure a professional representation of the company at all times.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, inspections, and labour records.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed and filed correctly.
- Support project reporting requirements for senior management.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing high-rise new build residential or mixed-use developments.
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete frame construction.
- Experience delivering multi-storey projects from inception through completion.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex construction programmes.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and logistics.
- Competent in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project budgets.
Qualifications
Essential:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS Black or Gold Card
- First Aid at Work
- Relevant construction qualification (HNC, HND, NVQ Level 6 or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar)
