Theatre/Audio Visual Warehouse Technician
Job description
Based in Oxford, Startech Productions Ltd supply: Stage lighting, Sound equipment, Audio Visual equipment and Staging systems for hire along with full technical and production services for live events nationwide. These include Sound Engineers, Lighting Tech’s and operators, Riggers, Video Graphic services and Audio Visual operators
We are looking to employ a full-time technician.
Your main responsibilities will be to prepare, maintain and repair equipment within a team.
You will mainly be working in our warehouse in central Oxford but may be required to deliver equipment and work on site occasionally.
This is a great opportunity for someone that would like to gain an experience in all technical aspects of live events and further progress their career in this industry.
Key responsibilities:
- To carry out all duties in accordance with Startech Productions’ Health and Safety policies and relevant legislation and work in such a way as to promote a culture of safety.
- To ensure the public areas of the company are in a safe and presentable condition.
- PAT Testing and keeping records and ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
- Carry out first line servicing of Equipment
Suitable candidates will:
- Be confident, reliable and an organised individual.
- Have a full and clean UK driving license.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in the technical live events or electrical/electronic repairs would be an advantage.
Remuneration and Hours:
- Hours – 37.5 hour basic week, 5 days Monday – Friday.
- Holidays – 28 days holiday per year
- Start Date – TBC
- Salary £TBC experience dependant plus employer pension contribution (if opted in).
