We are actively seeking a Facilities Manager to join our team in London!
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Oversee FM services across multiple London sites including PPM, reactive and homecare.
- Provide a top-class asset management service, identifying trends and life cycle status.
- Implement and improve upon management strategy to ensure efficient daily operation.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, building management, residents, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations both statuary and company.
- Preserve compliancy across all work activity settling only for the highest legislative standards.
- Effectively manage staff to harbor a positive, professional and confident workforce and arrange relevant training/course where necessary.
- Monitor staff performance and manage contracts with clients, contractors, suppliers and all relevant stakeholders.
- Efficiently manage department and contract budgets, providing forecasts and cost savings.
- Prepare tender submissions and commercial proposals for M&E maintenance and facilities maintenance contracts.
- Manage data, information transfer and reporting through CAFM and MS Packages. Collaborate with various departments including Procurement, Finance, HR, and IT achieving full cooperation.
- Provide approachable leadership for M&E technical support and guidance to team members.
- Issue regular high standard departmental, financial, and SMT reports.
- Develop, quantify and issue new tender offers, service packages, call-out and inspection trackers by paying great attention to detail and taking ownership of the process towards the end goal.
- Sequence of work activity, maintaining productivity, efficiency and operating an on-call service.
- Operate SOP’s, site procedures/rules, document review processes as well as other necessary requirements.
- Report effectively to client with on-time updates, recommendations, and value opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and non-statutory requirements, including H&S, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, Gas Safety, Water Hygiene, Building Fabric, Lift Equipment etc .
- Develop and maintain pre-planned maintenance programs
- Evaluate and appoint external contractors and specialist service providers
| QUALIFICATIONS |
Essential
- IWFM Level 4 in Facilities Management or similar recognised qualification.
- IOSH, NEBOSH or similar qualification or already working towards attaining
- Mechanical, Electrical, Ventilation or other relevant M&E technical qualification.
Desirable
- Degree educated in Facilities Management, Building Services management or similarly related.
- Membership of IWFM, RICS, CIBSE or similar body.
- Membership of ISOH, NEBOSH or similar body.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Ventilation.
- 18th Edition
- GasSafe or other relevant M&E technical qualification

Essential
- 5 Years’ proven Facilities Management experience in residential and commercial developments.
- Working knowledge in a range of M&E assets, their primary function, legislative maintenance requirements and life safety systems.
- Strong commercial skillset with ability to manage control of budgets, forecasts and financial initiatives.
- Proven ability to productively manage a team consisting of staff, contractors, specialists and remote workers.
- Strong FM contract management background with ability to manage all contractual aspects from engagement, legal, operations to completion.
- History of identifying and acting on business needs in areas of recruitment, supply chain, supplier accounts and investment.
- Able to demonstrate a history of reliability and enhancement of business relationships.
- Knowledge of UK Health & Safety law, being able to demonstrate competence, planning and affirmation.
Desirable
- 7 Years Facilities Management proven experience ranging across residential, commercial, hospitality and education sectors.
- Extensive knowledge in a range of M&E assets, legal requirements, knowing when to take decisive action on high priority systems and how to manage all assets on merit.
- Robust commercial capabilities with experience in consistently producing excellent judgement and ingenuity across all financial areas
- Proven experience of managing a wide range of personnel from all levels across multiple large and small projects.
- Excellent track record in managing a complete range of FM contracts from small to large complex and their various elements including client expectations, right through to finish, resulting in repeat business.
- Have previous experience of evaluating department requirements, developing new processes and presenting business plans highlighting areas in need of improvement.
- Have a reputation for success, trustworthiness and reliability among colleagues, contractors and clients.
- Have detailed knowledge of UK Health & Safety law, being able to structure and implement processes around SHEQ.
