Pennine View is a residential care home catering for up to 50 residents. The home specialises in dementia care. The home is to be maintained to very high standard and our team will provide a secure, happy and welcoming atmosphere for all residents and visitors.
About the Role:
As a Domestic/ Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule for cleaning within the home, hoovering, dusting, polishing, shampooing carpets, mopping floors and any other duties as required to a high standard. Also, you will take care of all clothing and bedding, collecting laundry from residents’ rooms, ensuring everything is labelled and washed according to the washing instructions, dried and ironed to a high standard and returned to residents’ rooms.
About You:
You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care. You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to residents with varying needs, be a team player and able to work on your own initiative. You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.
