Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Pastaio to run our new pasta masterclasses at Alfi Restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have experience running classes from between 10 - 30 people.
For larger classes we will provide someone to support the class.
The role requires the teacher to guide the class through a step by step process of making pasta from scratch.
You will be required to work with us through different regional pasta shapes.
We offer private classes for groups which are usually in the evenings and weekends. Classes are around 2 hours with some time required before and after for set up and pack down.
The classes are not always at the same time so the ideal candidate can be flexible in when can work.
Duties
- Assist guests with their needs and provide tips and advice
- Provide guidance during each step.
- Engage as and when needed by students also giving space to students where needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pasta making and teaching environments.
- Knowledge of shapes and processes
- Skills in teaching with different types of pasta - egg and water based
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with people of all ages groups
- Ability to work with our front of house staff to accommodate drinks and food orders
Pay: From £150.00 per day
