Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver takeaway orders to customers within designated areas
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate clearly with customers upon arrival, confirming order receipt and addressing any questions or concerns
- Handle food items with care, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Complete delivery logs accurately and report any issues or delays promptly
- Assist with loading and unloading orders, including heavy lifting when necessary, in compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably within food delivery or courier services
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate <PERSON> driver vehicles (or equivalent)
- Experience with commercial driving and understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with handling heavy lifting is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS technology and adapt to changing routes quickly
- Physical stamina for extended periods of driving and lifting heavy items when required
