Responsibilities

- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistent quality.
- Coordinate with front-of-house team to deliver seamless service experiences for guests.
- Monitor food costs and optimise utilisation to minimise waste while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and organise a diverse team.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
