About the Role
We’re looking for a barista‑trained, people‑focused Wigan Shop Lead to run the kiosk day‑to‑day. You’ll set the tone for the shop, keep standards high, and make sure every customer leaves happier than they arrived. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and naturally brings warmth, pace, and positivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a genuinely welcoming, upbeat customer experience
- Prepare consistently excellent espresso‑based drinks
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
- Lead the energy and pace of the kiosk, especially during busy periods
- Support team members and help build a positive, encouraging atmosphere
- Uphold the Holy Grounds brand tone — friendly, clean, cheeky, and warm
- Manage opening and closing routines and keep service flowing smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Barista training and confidence with espresso‑based drinks
- Naturally great with people; friendly, positive, and approachable
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in day‑to‑day operations
- High personal standards for quality and presentation
- Calm under pressure and able to keep service running smoothly
- Proactive and able to spot what needs doing without being asked
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Experience leading small teams
- Previous hospitality or customer‑facing experience
- Interest in coffee, great service, and creating memorable moments
