Key4Life is a charity dedicated to reducing reoffending by supporting young men in prison and those leaving custody to build positive futures. Through our innovative rehabilitation programme, we work with prisons, external services, employers and volunteers to help participants move into sustainable employment, education and training.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and well-connected Recruitment & Employment Advisor to develop relationships with employers and secure sustainable employment opportunities for Key4Life participants.
This is a fast-paced role focused on matching motivated candidates with vacancies across a range of industries. You will work closely with participants, employers and the Key4Life delivery team to support individuals from job readiness through to successful employment and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with employers across a range of sectors.
- Identify suitable vacancies for Key4Life participants.
- Match candidates to job opportunities based on their skills, experience and aspirations.
- Support participants with CV preparation, interview coaching and job applications.
- Coordinate interviews, and attend recruitment events.
- Develop new employer partnerships willing to offer opportunities to young men.
- Promote the benefits of inclusive recruitment and second-chance hiring.
- Work with Case Workers to ensure participants are employment-ready.
- Track employment outcomes and maintain accurate records using CRM systems.
- Provide ongoing support to both employers and participants during work tasters and the first six months of employment.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, employability or business development.
- A proven track record of placing candidates into employment.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- The confidence to engage with employers at all levels.
- A passion for helping people overcome barriers to employment.
- The ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system or rehabilitation services.
- Experience using CRM or recruitment databases.
- Existing employer networks within sectors such as construction, logistics, hospitality, facilities management, retail or warehousing.
