We are looking for an experienced and motivated Solar Electrician to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of solar PV systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities - Install solar PV systems in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Carry out electrical wiring, testing, fault finding, and commissioning of solar installations.
- Install and connect inverters, battery storage systems, and EV chargers where required.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing solar PV systems.
- Complete electrical inspection and testing, producing the relevant certification.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations, health and safety legislation, and company procedures.
- Work effectively with roofers, project managers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation. - Keep company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition. Requirements - Qualified Electrician (Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- Testing and Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous experience installing solar PV systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable
- Solar PV qualification (such as Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar PV Systems).
- Experience with battery storage systems and EV charger installations.
- ECS or CSCS card.
