Job Description
This is a full-time "Customs Broker" position based in Coleshill, office based. In this role, you will be responsible for arranging and processing customs clearance for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with customs laws and regulations, and liaising with clients, carriers, and government officials as necessary. The Customs Department is central to all areas of the business and whilst this is a full time customs position it does offer in-sight into other areas of business including Road Freight, Sea Freight, Air Freight and Finance.
Qualifications and Skills
- 12 months prior experience as a customs broker or a similar role in the freight industry
- Familiarity with customs brokerage software and technologies
- Strong knowledge of customs laws and regulations and experience in processing customs clearance documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team and build client relationships
- UK Customs Academy qualifications are recognised but NOT essential, the opportunity to complete these courses will be offered to succesful candidates
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Responsible for customs compliance and accurate processing of import and export transit documents
- Transferring data into customs software for import and export declarations
- Good knowledge of CDS and other customs software, such as Destin8 and CNS

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
