Puddocks are looking for an experienced part-time Pot Washer/ Kitchen Assistant to join our team!
We're a recently opened frog themed cafe serving breakfast, lunch and baked goods and we are looking for someone with energy and an attention to detail that will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment by expertly handling dishwashing duties.
This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are upheld.
A high standard of cleanliness is of utmost importance and we request that applicants hold a minimum level 2 hygiene certificate for this role.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations
- Support the kitchen team with maintaining cleanliness of workstations, floors, and storage areas in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Help with restocking supplies and ensuring all items are stored correctly to facilitate smooth kitchen workflow
- Follow proper waste disposal procedures and ensure recycling protocols are adhered to consistently
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with team members to uphold a welcoming hospitality environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is a plus
- Previous kitchen experience demonstrating understanding of cleanliness standards and safety protocols
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within culinary and hospitality settings
*Pay rate negotiated on experience*
Minimum 3 days per week
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Licence/Certification:
