About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Harrow. You will be supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), helping them to develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide day-to-day care and support for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
● Support children with their emotional, social, and educational development.
● Build positive and trusting relationships with young people, acting as a role model.
● Encourage and promote independence and life skills.
● Implement and follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding policies.
● Manage challenging behaviours using a therapeutic and child-centred approach.
● Work as part of a team to ensure the home operates smoothly and meets Ofsted regulations.
What We’re Looking For
● Experience working with children and young people with complex needs (preferred but not essential).
● Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care.
● Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Therapeutic experience is an advantage.
● Strong communication, patience, and resilience.
● A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience in therapeutic care a big advantage
● A valid UK driving licence (preferred).
● Enhanced DBS check required (we can assist with this).
